A short tutorial on how to get started with your galleries.

 



 
After you register and log in, you will be at the main screen. You have to create your album before you can upload any images. To do that, click on the Create/order my albums tab.


 
 


 
You will then go to the Album Manager screen seen here. Click on New, and name your album in the little window below the manager window, and then click on Apply modifications.


 
 


 
You will then be back at the main screen. Click on Upload file to begin uploading your images.


 
 


 
Here you see the upload file screen. Read and follow the instructions you see here. When you have browsed to your image, click continue.


 
 


 
The next screen is where you name your image, and any description you want.


 
 


 
You also need to select the album you want the image to go into. Once completed, click continue.


 
 


 
If all went well, you will see the following screen. Just click continue again to move on. You have just uploaded your image into the gallery you created!


 
 


 
The following screens show you how you can rename, or change the description of your gallery, and to make it private if you wish to not allow the public to see it, (such as an album with family images, etc.) If you want to change the name or description of your image(s) click on the Edit Files tab.

Click on the properties tab if you want to make your album private.


 
 
 


 
Here you see the general settings screen for your gallery(s). Notice the right top of the window. Here you can move to any other gallery you have made.


 
 


 
To make your album private, select the Album can be viewed by tab, and select Me only from the drop down selections. Notice you can also select Members of the 'Registered' group, which will restrict the general public from viewing your album.


 


 
 
If you select Me only, you need to put in a password, and you can optionally put in a password hint. This is useful, for instance, if you are making a family images album, and you wan your family to be able yo remember the password. Put in something that they would all know .. such as 'Mom's maiden name'. The members of your family would then remember what the password is. When you are finished, click on Update album.

 
 
Once you have created your "Private" album, in order for your selected people to view it, you need to go to the album in question, and once in it, copy the URL (from the browser window). This is the link to send to your selected people. When they follow that link, the will see the gallery and the password hint, and will be required to enter the password to view your album.
